Do I need my own TSE?

No. VidiPOS uses the cloud TSE from fiskaly – no USB stick, no hardware TSE. Cloud TSE, fiscal compliance & digital receipt appears as its own line on your invoice: €199 net plus VAT per till and year, paid in advance.

How does the Kassenmeldung to the tax office work?

Electronic tills must be registered with the tax office (§ 146a para. 4 AO). VidiPOS compiles the details from your master data; with them you report yourself free of charge via Mein ELSTER – using our report data sheet and a step-by-step guide. Submission by VidiPOS is available on request.

What is the DSFinV-K export?

The DSFinV-K is the data format that tax inspectors require for till inspections (Kassennachschau) and tax audits. You export it in the back office for any period you choose.

What happens if the internet goes down?

You keep taking orders and cash payments on the main till device; the receipt printer on the local network keeps printing. Receipts carry an outage note. As soon as the connection is back, VidiPOS syncs everything automatically.

How long is the contract and how do I cancel?

The plans run for 12 months – or 24 months if you pay for the software in advance; then two months are free. The term starts when the TSE is put into service, at the latest 30 days after booking. It then renews for 12 months each time with monthly payment, 24 months in advance only on request. You can cancel one month before the end by email or in the back office. The booked plan applies for the term, extra devices stay flexible monthly. You can export your till data as DSFinV-K and DATEV at any time.

What is a “till” at VidiPOS?

A till is a recording system with its own TSE and its own closing, usually one per business and location. Tablets and phones on it are devices. A second till at the same location costs the full price again, including the yearly line for cloud TSE, fiscal compliance & digital receipt.

Do I pay per device?

No. You pay per till, that is per business or location with its own TSE. VidiPOS Gastro and Bar include three devices, each additional one costs €19.90 net plus VAT a month; the counter till has one device. Only a second till at the same location, with its own TSE and closing, costs the full price again.

How many devices can I use on one till?

VidiPOS Gastro and VidiPOS Bar include three devices; each additional one costs €19.90 net plus VAT a month and can be cancelled monthly. The counter till has exactly one device. You pair devices in the back office with a code and block a lost device with one click.

Can I switch between Gastro, Bar and Counter till?

You can move up to a higher plan at any time; a smaller plan applies from the next term. Your data is kept. You can add or remove extra devices monthly.

How long is my till data kept?

VidiPOS stores closings, DSFinV-K and TSE exports in the fiscal archive: with a checksum, unalterable and for ten years. fiskaly itself keeps the data for only about three months – VidiPOS takes care of retention for you.

Does VidiPOS run on iOS and Android?

Yes. The till app runs on Android and iOS devices, on tablet and phone. You open the back office in your browser.

What hardware do I need?

One tablet or phone per device, a network receipt printer with ESC/POS (LAN or Wi-Fi, 58 or 80 mm, cash drawer on the printer possible) and, for card payments, a SumUp Solo or a Stripe Smart Reader. Bluetooth printers are not currently supported. Hardware is not included in the price.

Do I have to process card payments through VidiPOS?

No. Card payments run through your business’s own SumUp or Stripe account; you agree the fees directly with the provider.

Where do I log in?

The VidiPOS back office is the VidiReserve back office. Use “Log in” at the top right to get in with your VidiReserve account.
