Tax compliance

Tax-compliant POS: TSE, GoBD, DSFinV-K The till obligations –
how VidiPOS implements them.

A till in Germany has to do more than take payments: record transactions securely, issue correct receipts, keep data for ten years and hand it over in an audit. Here is how VidiPOS does it.

Areas

KassenSichV and TSE

What KassenSichV and § 146a AO require and how VidiPOS delivers it: cloud TSE from fiskaly, receipt with verification QR, outage log and Kassenmeldung – via ELSTER or free of charge yourself.

GoBD

Hash chain and reversal as counter-receipt, Z report for each business day, procedure documentation, fiscal archive for ten years and data access Z1, Z2 and Z3 for audits.

Data export for your tax adviser

DSFinV-K as ZIP, TSE export, DATEV booking batch of daily sales, CSV files and reports: your till data as your tax adviser and auditors need it, ready in the back office.

Security

Hosting in Germany, hourly backups, roles and permissions, PINs never in plain text, encrypted connections and a fiscal archive that cannot be altered.

FAQ

Questions about the tax office

All questions

Do I need a TSE?

Yes. Electronic tills in Germany must secure every transaction with a certified technical security device (§ 146a AO, KassenSichV). VidiPOS uses the cloud TSE fiskaly SIGN DE – no USB stick, no hardware TSE.

What is DSFinV-K?

DSFinV-K is the standard export interface for till data that German tax authorities require in a till inspection (Kassennachschau) or tax audit. VidiPOS creates the export for any period as a ZIP file and stores it in the fiscal archive.

How does a till inspection work?

In a till inspection (Kassennachschau), the tax office can visit your business unannounced and check the till. With VidiPOS you set up a time-limited, read-only auditor access, or hand over an auditor package with DSFinV-K and TSE exports via a time-limited link.

What happens if the internet goes down?

You keep taking orders and take cash payments on the main till device. Because the TSE is in the cloud, these transactions are not signed: receipts carry an outage note, and VidiPOS logs the outage with start and end. Afterwards the till syncs everything; nothing is ever signed retroactively.

Who registers the till with the tax office?

The obligation under § 146a para. 4 AO lies with your business. VidiPOS provides the report data sheet and a step-by-step guide free of charge so you can report yourself via Mein ELSTER. Submission by VidiPOS is available on request.
