Items and product groups
In the back office you manage all items with price, tax rates for eat-in and takeaway, short names for ticket and tile, colour or photo. Product groups form the tabs of the till and carry what is the same for many items: tax rates, default course, revenue account and cost centre.
- Import the menu from VidiReserve as items
- Edit many items in a spreadsheet via CSV
- Change prices and tax rates for several items at once
- Options, courses and quick notes in one place
- Every change to name, price and tax rates is logged
- Item images generated with AI are labelled “AI image”
Tills, devices and operators
In the back office you create your tills, generate pairing codes for new devices and block lost ones. You create operators with an abbreviation, role and PIN. What a role may do at the till you set in the role editor, where you also manage the other permissions of your team.
Which building blocks the till uses, you switch on or off in the settings: courses, floor plan, split bills, discounts, on account, cash movements on the device and digital receipt. Whatever you switch off disappears from the app at the next sync.
Journal, reports and exports
Reports, Z reports, cash book, CSV and DATEV export are also in the back office, along with TSE, fiscal archive and Kassenmeldung. The journal shows every transaction as it is stored – with items, payments and TSE data.
Part of VidiReserve
VidiPOS is part of the VidiReserve platform. You work with one account and one back office: reservations, invoices and till work together. The till also uses your business’s master data, for example for receipts and the Kassenmeldung.
If a guest paid a deposit with their reservation, the till deducts it on the receipt. If they want their receipt by email, the till suggests the address from the reservation – only in shortened form, for privacy reasons.
Adding reservations
VidiReserve brings online reservations and the floor plan for reservations. If you have only used the till so far, you add reservations through VidiReserve – from €15.90 net a month. The reservation is then already there at the table.
VidiClock: importing your team
If you work with VidiClock, you import the staff from there as operators instead of creating them twice. This is optional. Syncing only happens when you press the button, and always with a preview: new, changed, left, active again.
- New staff become operators with an abbreviation from their initials
- Anyone who leaves in VidiClock is deactivated as an operator
- Abbreviation, role and PIN of imported operators stay unchanged
- PINs don’t come from VidiClock; you set them yourself
