POS system for restaurants From table to kitchen.
No detours.

In a restaurant, a lot happens at once: guests arrive, orders go to the kitchen, courses need to be fired, and in the end everyone pays for their own. VidiPOS maps this flow. You take the order at the table, the kitchen gets its ticket, and the till knows the status of every table at all times.

What a restaurant needs from its till

An evening in a restaurant has its own rhythm. Service takes orders at the table, the kitchen works course by course, the bar makes the drinks. In the end the table wants to pay separately, partly cash, partly card. A restaurant till has to follow this flow without anyone typing twice or passing on slips of paper.

Floor plan and courses

The floor plan shows your rooms and tables as they are laid out in your venue, for example terrace and hall. At a glance you see which tables are free, which are occupied and which are ready to be billed. Tapping a table opens its order pad.

In the order pad, each item belongs to a course: starter, main course, dessert or “Immediately / no course” for drinks. This way you take the whole menu in one go and fire the next course when the kitchen is ready. You create your courses yourself in the back office.

Several devices in service

Several devices take orders on one till at the same time: the tablet at the bar, the phones in service. All work from the same state, every device sees every table, and two colleagues can add to the same table. Everyone logs in with their own PIN, and what they may do is governed by roles and permissions.

Kitchen and bar tickets per station

As soon as staff send an order, VidiPOS prints the ticket where it is prepared: food in the kitchen, drinks at the bar. You set the station on the product group. The ticket shows table, operator, time, options and notes; if courses are switched on, the items are sorted by course.

If a sent item is cancelled, a cancellation ticket comes out at the station, so nobody cooks for nothing. Because the printers sit on the local network, tickets keep printing in offline mode too.

Split bills and reservation at the table

If everyone wants to pay for their own, you split the bill by item. If an amount goes to several payment methods, you record both. Staff choose the tip when paying, and the card amount goes straight to the SumUp Solo.

If you use VidiReserve for reservations, the reservation is already there at the table. If a guest paid a deposit, the till deducts it and the receipt shows it. If they want the receipt by email, the till suggests the address from the reservation in shortened form.

The right plan: VidiPOS Gastro
