Receipts with verification QR and cloud TSE TSE and receipts.
Built in, not plugged in.

A till in Germany needs a TSE (the certified security module for tills), receipts with mandatory details, a report to the tax office and data that survives an audit. In VidiPOS, all of that is built in. You need no USB stick and no hardware TSE, and the fiscal archive takes care of retaining the data.

Cloud TSE from fiskaly

VidiPOS signs every transaction with the certified cloud TSE fiskaly SIGN DE. Your business gets its own security module, and each till is registered there with its serial number. You start the setup in the back office; if it is interrupted, it picks up exactly where it left off.

If the TSE doesn’t respond, the till doesn’t wait: the transaction is booked, the receipt carries the note “TSE not available”, and the outage log records the start and cause. This documents the outage with start, end and cause.

Receipt with verification QR

VidiPOS creates the receipt with all mandatory details under § 6 KassenSichV: business with tax number, till, receipt number, operator, items, tax per rate, payment methods and TSE data. It also carries the verification QR code under DSFinV-K, with which the tax office can check the receipt.

Completed transactions stay unalterable, as the GoBD require; a reversal is always a separate counter-receipt. Every transaction carries a checksum that includes the previous one. In the journal you verify this chain with one click.

Digital receipt

Every receipt has a digital version. The till shows a QR code, and the guest opens the receipt on their phone without logging in, prints it or downloads it as a PDF – in German or English. The page shows less personal information than the receipt at the till and is not indexed by search engines. If a guest asks, you revoke the link permanently.

Kassenmeldung under § 146a para. 4 AO

Anyone who acquires or decommissions a till must notify the tax office within one month. VidiPOS compiles the report from your master data and tills, and you see a PDF preview beforehand. Nothing is submitted until you give your explicit consent.

You see the report status of each till and the current deadlines in the back office; a reminder appears before a deadline ends. You can report yourself free of charge via Mein ELSTER: download the report data sheet as a PDF – with all details in the order of the form. Submission by VidiPOS is available on request.

DSFinV-K export and fiscal archive

Every Z report is sent to fiskaly in the background as a till closing. From it, the DSFinV-K export for each till is created automatically every month. For a period of your own, for example for your tax adviser, you request an export in the back office.

fiskaly keeps the data for only about three months. You have to retain it yourself – the fiscal archive does that for you:

  • DSFinV-K exports, TSE exports and closings in one place
  • Every file with a SHA-256 checksum, never overwritten
  • Retained for ten years, neither alterable nor deletable before that
  • Every download first verifies the checksum and is logged

Auditor handover and training mode

If the tax office comes for a till inspection (Kassennachschau, an unannounced check of your till) or an external audit, VidiPOS prepares the data access. For Z1 you set up a time-limited auditor access that is read-only. For Z2 you analyse with reports and exports. For Z3, VidiPOS creates an auditor package with DSFinV-K and TSE exports, CSV files and Z reports, which the auditor downloads via a time-limited link.

In training mode, new staff practise on the real till. Training bookings carry the note “Training receipt” and count towards no totals. Whether a till allows training is set for each till.
